I guess it is not about the name.. it's something beyond that. In my opinion, the interface google uses, and the simplicity they're delivering is the whole story. If you compare GMAIL "al a3da2 " to WINDOWS LIVE MAIL you can clearly understand what am talking about. Everyone likes light, clear, simple applications.. At the moment, you have two versions of windows live mail, the light one - which goes for the simplicity I talked about. I guess Microsoft will take this simplicity in consideration soon.

thats true ayman, but google has become a term in our every day vocabulary, and when you think "google" you think "search", so now when you think "search" the first thing that is gonna pop into ur head is gonna be "google".

Thats right.. their search engine has proved itself during the last couple of years.. thus when we think about search, we think about google ..  However, MS will do the same with the LIVE SEARCH :P just give it the time ;)

Well they better do something spectacular, cause with time, Google will get a lot better as well.

But without a doubt, Gmail is 100000 times better than Live Mail. I hate Live Mail!

you have too much faith in microsoft, dont get me wrong i love microsoft, nearly everything i use is microsoft, but that doesnt mean that everything they make is the best.

the difference between google and microsoft is that google know wot the users want, and get it right first time.
