Morning carbotics team.
Sometimes whenever i use a google app (voice assistant, maps etc) it routes the audio to the car's phone call speaker.
For example when using navigation or using voice assistant it will route the audio to the call speaker instead of the default music speaker. This is frustrating because playing music while navigating sounds really bad. As soon as you exit the navigation the audio goes back to normal speaker.
Any idea how to fix this?

This is a common fault which should be eliminated by turning off OK Google in Google map -> settings -> navigation. Please report back if this fix worked for you (or not).

Bye for now Fred

Hi Pres1o, disagree ;-). Please follow the pictures and you'll find what you look for:

The pictures you see might be a bit different, but you'll find your way around. Start GoogleMaps and open the settings (in my example click on the A right side of the search line), open Settings (you have to scroll a bit), scroll to Navigation settings and open them, scroll down to Google Assistant settings and open them. Here you can change the settings of "Hey Google" detection or you might switch this helper completely off.

Bye for now Fred

By the way how did u enable these navigation buttons on the right side? They are super helpful!

The Google Maps version I'm running is 11.41.0603 Maybe you need to update. My Carbotics runs a rooted version of APM888-EAU-01 which might be different from yours. It's a bit trial and error.

Regarding the navigation bar: Just search Playstore and try any of them. Mostly they need a rooted device and not all options work. Your miles may vary...

Bye for now Fred

@ap756 so here is how to reproduce if you can!
Start your car, launch carbotics. Open spotify play music then open google maps and start navigating to a location. Does it route the audio to the phone speaker for you?

@pres1o Good description. I'll try to reproduce when I get some spare time (have to reflash to unroot, have to try Spotify for the first time). I use the DAB Radio integrated in my head unit and Google maps voice just integrates when needed.

Bye for now Fred

@admin so I think I have found the source of the issue. If you go to carbotics settings and set the voice command button to open the Google assistant app then the problem occurs. If you leave it to none then both voice assistant works and the audio works as expected, so far at least
